Mobile Library & Outreach Services
With the Prairie River Library District Mobile Library, we are bringing the library to you! The Mobile Library takes all of the offerings of a brick-and-mortar location on the road! The Mobile Library will serve communities across Nez Perce, Lewis, and Idaho Counties, with a special focus on communities that do not currently have robust access to library locations.

HOMEBOUND SERVICES PROGRAM PILOT
Prairie River Library District offers Homebound Service to residents of the City of Lapwai and Sweetwater Community who are unable to come to the library on their own, but would still like to borrow library materials. Library staff will select materials based upon an individual borrower's interests and requests. Items will be delivered to your home.

Questions about the program can be directed to Outreach & Access Services Manager, Maria at outreach@prld.org or at 208-843-7254.

Our Mobile Library stops are chosen by determining if a community has difficulty getting to a library due to age, physical limitation, and remote location, as well as Mobile Library schedule availability.

A stop may be discontinued due to low use, safety considerations, or violations of library policies.
If you are interested in becoming a Mobile Library stop and your location falls within the Prairie River Library District, please contact the District Office at 208-843-7254 or headquarters@prld.org

Mobile Library Funding
The Prairie River Library District Mobile Library was funded as part of the American Rescue Plan Act Funding: Libraries Keep Students Learning and Adults Earning from the Idaho Commission for Libraries.
