Sept. 21 – Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson – [memoir] Her long-suffering husband and sweet daughter help her uncover the surprising discovery that the most terribly human moments—the ones we want to pretend never happened—are the very same moments that make us the people we are today.
Oct. 19 – 1984 by George Orwell – [dystopian classic] Set in Airstrip One (formerly known as Great Britain), a province of the superstate Oceania in a world of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, and public manipulation.
Nov. 16 – H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald – [grief memoir] Fierce and feral, her goshawk Mabel's temperament mirrors Helen's own state of grief after her father's death, and together raptor and human "discover the pain and beauty of being alive."

Feb. 15 – In Cold Blood by Truman Capote [true crime] Details the 1959 murders of four members of the Herbert Clutter family in the small farming community of Holcomb, Kansas.

April 19– Heroes of the Frontier by Dave Eggers – [drama/coming-of-age] A dentist moves with her children to Alaska after a failed relationship with the children's father.
