About Our District

The Prairie River Library District has eight branches in communities along the Clearwater River and Camas Prairie, with the district headquarters located at the Lapwai branch.  PRLD is a member of Valnet, a consortium of over 40 public and school libraries in north-central Idaho and south-east Washington.

Online catalog:  Valnet's online catalog allows patrons to find, request and renew books, movies and music and manage their accounts.

eBooks & Audiobooks:  Get eBooks and digital audiobooks on your phone, tablet or computer 24/7 through OverDrive
.

Courier service:  Our excellent courier service means we can get items to patrons quickly, typically within a few days of the request.

Rotation collections:  In addition to popular fiction and nonfiction for readers of all ages, each branch has rotating collections of movies, audiobooks on CD, and large-print books.

Free computers & Wi-Fi:  Computers and tablets are available for use in the library free of charge.  Wi-Fi is available 24/7.

Programs:  Each branch has a unique offering of different programs and activities for all age groups - book clubs, story time, writing groups, movies, musical performances, classes, visiting speakers, traveling displays and more.  Check our events calendar for upcoming programs.
